  1. Safety first
Consider carefully how the changing table is built. It should feel solid and safe. Your child will in total spend a lot of time on the table and you should feel that the table is not only sturdy but hard wearing. If you choose not to have a separate changing table, make sure the low dresser or other surface you place the changing station on is stable.

  2. Height and maneuverability
The daily chore of changing diapers is cumbersome and tiring when you have to strain your back whilst reaching for baby essentials. Make sure that the changing station has the perfect measurements for both you and your child and that all baby essentials well within reach.

  3. Space and capacity
Diapers, cloths and wipes, lotions, clean clothes etc. should all be within easy reach while changing your baby.

  4. Wheels
Having wheels on the changing table is ideal for easy storage when not in use, or for use as a movable desk etc. when your baby has grown and the table is not used for changing diapers anymore. All wheels should be lockable, to prevent the table from sliding, or moving whilst changing your baby, and to provide a more stable available changing environment for you and your child.
