Safety standards

Our determination to attain and surpass all international safety and production quality standards has led to awards, prizes and recognition not only for our design, innovation and functionality, but more importantly our safety.

Baby cribs, cots and cradles, as with all children's furniture, must meet safety standard regulations.

International safety standards governing openings, heights, harmful substances, stability and durability are just a few of the requirements the children's bed must meet.

Stokke Sleepi complies and exeeds the following standards:

• EN 1130:1996, Furniture, Cribs and cradles for domestic use
• EN 716: 1995, Furniture, Children´s cots and folding cots for domestic use
• EU directive 2005/84/EC of 14 December 2005 (requirements on phtalates content)
• ASTM F 2194-07: Stand Consumer Safety Spesification for Bassinets and Cradles
• ASTM F 1821-06: Stand Consumer Safety Spesification for Toddler beds
• F 406-07 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Play yards/non-full-size cribs
• AS/NZS 2172: 2003: Cots for household use

In addition to these safety standards, Stokke Sleepi has been awarded the GS mark and Blue Tick. These additional certification seals and marks of approval provide further assurance in relation to the safety and quality of our Stokke Sleepi crib.
